Apart from the use of stepping motors and pneumatic actuators, DC motors with gearboxes are also used for actuator devices of this type. Exact positioning is carried out by means of potentiometer or Hall transmitter sensor systems and correspondingly accurate switching-off of the motor. In addition, position detection by means of clocked motor drive and motor current analysis is known. In the case of the novel actuator device, a mechanical system which is driven at the same time and has a potential energy which varies along its movement travel is coupled to the actuator in such a way that it influences the servomotor current such that the respective position of the actuator element can be detected by a control device using the evaluation of the motor current which characteristically depends on the force exerted by the mechanical system on the actuator element. Use, for example, for actuators for ventilation flaps in motor vehicle air-conditioning installations.
