The invention relates to a freight securing means for the freight areas of lorries using vertical locking bars which are attached between the floor of the freight area and its roof and as a result of which secure the freight directly adjoining the locking bar against slipping, principally in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The object of the present invention is to develop the known locking-bar securing means in such a way that when there is an equal or greater supporting force in relation to the freight, the said locking-bar securing means manages with even a low degree of rigidity of the roof structure and functions independently of the presence and the direction in which a profile floor is laid. For this purpose, the locking-bar foot has at least one downwardly pointing projection which engages in the surface of the floor of the vehicle in a positively locking manner and when the locking bar is attached between the floor and a perforated rail the pin projects into a hole in the perforated rail, the locking bar exerting no, or only slight pressure upwards against the locking bar.
