In the case of a comminuting device having a revolving shaft and at least one disc with cutting teeth on said shaft, the disc comprises two parts 7 and 8 which are identical to one another, but are mounted to be offset with respect to one another, such that, on each of the two disc parts 7 and 8, a part 14 of the separating surface remains free and thus forms the end surface of a cutting tooth. The two disc parts 7 and 8 are connected to one another by screws 11 and 12 and, by releasing said screws 11 and 12, can be demounted from one another and from the shaft 5. <IMAGE>
