<p>Vacuum bright annealing pot furnace installation consists of a vertical furnace chamber, a furnace pot, a furnace lid, and a cooling pit. The furnace lid is fitted with a centrally disposed radial fan for the circulation of a cooling gas introduced after the heat treatment. Also in the lid are fitted cooling tubes past which the gas is passed so as to transfer heat to the tubes. The cooling pit is equipped with a compressed air supply for applying cooling to the outside of the pot. The arrangement promotes fast turn round of charge and pots and is suitable for annealing e.g. wire and rolled goods, esp. Cr-Ni steels.</p> |
