PURPOSE:To prevent a ringlike cover from being ripped off so as to enhance workability by joining the outer peripheries of the cover to each other by means of a mechanical joining means in a gasket provided with the cover for covering the both surfaces and inner circumferential surface of a ring-like gasket main body. CONSTITUTION:In a gasket 10 with a cover disposed in a coupling of a fluid pipe, both surfaces of a ringlike gasket main body 12 are covered with a cover 13 made of a fluororesin. The outer peripheral portion 15 of the cover 13 is sewn by a mechanical joining means, e.g. a sewing machine. As other mechanical joining means, a metallic needle of a stapler or the like may be used for stapling the outer periphery with a suitable interval in such a manner as not to be free. A rubber polymer including fiber or the like and solidified into a ring shape is used for the gasket main body 12. |
