PURPOSE:To provide heat transfer recording method, with which character and image having favorable quality and high writing quality and fixing properties irrespective of the kind of an image receiving body in the recording method for recording by a heat-transferring dye. CONSTITUTION:On an intermediate transferring body 4 having a polymer layer 5, firstly, by placing a dyeing layer feeding body 1 upon the intermediate transferring body, a recording layer 2 is transferred on the intermediate transferring body 4. Next, by placing an ink sheet 7 on the transferred recording layer 2, the dye is heat-transferred from an ink material layer 8 on the recording layer 2. Next, by placing an image receiving body 12 on the recording layer 2 and pressing and heating them together, the recording layer 2 is transferred onto the image receiving body 12. When polymer layer 5, which is made of a polymer material having rubber elasticity and stickiness, stably and stickingly holds the recording layer 2 at the transferring of the dye to the recording layer 2. At the same time, the recording layer 2 is favorably fixed by elastically deforming along the surface shape of the image receiving body 12 at the transferring of the recording layer 2 onto the image receiving body 12. |
