PURPOSE:To reduce shocks to cars and to give warnings to drivers and cars on the opposite lane by a method wherein a road surface marking is formed by engaging lateral parts having cushioning functions into a lateral supporting member and sensing and sound emitting devices are provided thereto. CONSTITUTION:Lateral parts 2, each of which is equipped with a buffer support part 5 and a buffer receiving part 6a at a face opposite to a car running lane, and a lateral supporting member 4, equipped with a buffer receiving part 6, are made independently of synthetic resin. The lateral parts 2 are engaged into the lateral supporting member 4 at engaging parts 7, 7a, and a fixing part for embedment into the road provided to the lower part of the lateral supporting member 4 or the lateral parts 2 is fitted into an embedment and fixation hole on the road, and thereby a road surface marking 1 is formed. Sensing and sound-emitting devices 8, with detecting rods 8a extending toward the running lane, are provided in the lateral parts 2. Contacts with wheels are detected by the detecting rods, and warning signals are emitted. Effect of visual recognition is enhanced by applying polymerized stilbene pigment, fluorescent paint, light-reflecting beads, luminescent bodies emitting light during the night by solar cells or the like to the surfaces of the lateral parts 2. |
