PURPOSE: To minimize abrasion of components by a constitution wherein an annular collar part member surrounding the peripheral edge of a valve stem is provided in a selected relation of being isolated from the end of the valve stem operating in coordination with an end port opening, in the valve structure of an expansion valve or the like in a cooling system. CONSTITUTION: A valve plug 3 has an annular sealing surface 8 provided adjacently to a fluid passage 4, and the lower end part 11 of a valve stem 9 movable linearly opens and closes the passage, operating in coordination with the annular sealing surface 8 and an end port opening 6. The upper end part 12 of the valve stem 9 of which the outside is threaded extends beyond an extended arm part 13 of the valve plug 3 and is fixed to a hub 14 fixed to the inner wall of an annular magnetic rotor 16. A plurality of longitudinally extending barb-shaped projections 19 and an annular stage 21 are formed on the lower end part 11 of the valve stem 9 of this valve structure. An annular collar part 22 constituted of an abrasion-resistant material of low friction is fitted to the part 11 in a state of the movement thereof in longitudinal and rotational directions being controlled, and it is brought into contact with and detached from the annular sealing 8.
