PURPOSE: To provide a device that is not so expensive for preventing loosening of a coupling nut on a fluid pipe. CONSTITUTION: A U-shaped spring clip 10 has two circular end portions 12, 14 each formed with an aperture 18 and a unidirectional clutch 20. The first end portion 14 has the unidirectional clutch 20 formed into the aperture interior wall and the second end portion 12 has a serration 16 cut along the aperture interior wall to provide an anti-rotation feature. The serration 16 prevents rotation of the spring clutch 10 and the unidirectional clutch 20 engages the lower surface of a coupling nut to permit only clockwise rotation of the nut.
