The invention relates to a lamp provided with a housing made from two housing parts. Each housing part is provided with a side wall and a collar which extends along at least part of the periphery of the side wall and transversely with respect to the side wall. Each collar is adjoined by a stub section. If the ends of the collars which are remote from the side walls are placed against one another, the two stub parts form a bearing location for a lamp fitting. In the vicinity of the abovementioned ends, the collars are provided with recesses and/or projecting lips which, when the ends of the collars are placed against one another, latch together in order to secure the two housing parts against one another.
