PURPOSE:To provide a new prosthetic appliance and the manufacturing method therefor wherein a dissimilar metal is stably fixed on the surface of a base metal in the process of casting the base metal. CONSTITUTION:This prosthetic appliance and the manufacturing method therefor comprising mounting a powdery metal paste 3 mainly composed of a dissimilar metal to a base metal and containing a diluent volatile at lower temp. than the softening and melting temp. of wax on the required part of a wax pattern on the base metal, forming a paste fixing layer 4 composed of fine particles on the surface of the powdery metal paste 3, placing and investing the combination in a casting ring with investment material 6, burning the combination together with the casting ring at lower temp. than the melting point of the dissimilar metal, and casting the base metal at lower temp. than the melting point of the dissimilar metal. Gold is used as a dissimilar metal and a casting alloy is used as a base metal. |
