PURPOSE:To improve shock absorptivity and visuality by a method wherein a road surface marking is constructed of a surface part and a shock-receiving part, which are formed of synthetic resin and are engaged with each other but normally without coming into contact with each other, and light-reflecting beads are attached to the surface. CONSTITUTION:A surface part 2, with shock support stands 4 provided to its rear side, and a shock receiving stand 6, with shock receiving seats 5, 5a and fixing parts 3 to be embedded into the road provided respectively to its surface and underside, are manufactured respectively of synthetic resin. The reverse side 8 of the surface part 2 and the shock support stands 4 are normally detached from and afloat above the shock receiving seats 5, 5a of the shock receiving stand 6, keeping a height effective to visual recognition. When a car runs onto the surface part 2, engagement is made between the members to absorb shocks. Effect of visual recognition on the surface part 2 is enhanced by attachment of light reflecting beads, or application of luminous material made by high polymerization of stilbene pigment or fluorescent paint, or by means of incorporating a luminescent body Y that emits light during the night by solar cells. The fixing parts 3 for embedment into the road are fitted and fixed to the road surface R while edges 7 for preventing coming-off of a marking is fitted to the entire circumference of the shock receiving stand 6, and thereby a road surface marking is constructed. |
