PURPOSE:To provide a good seat belt use retractor in which the operational durability of a rewinding force reducing mechanism can be increased while improving an operational feeling by improving a characteristic of rewinding/ unwinding webbing when a seat belt is not mounted. CONSTITUTION:A rewinding spring 9 for always energizing a rewinding reed of winding webbing 29 in a direction of rewinding the webbing, fixed load spring 20 for generating energizing force in a direction of unwinding the webbing weaker than rewinding force of the rewinding spring 9 and a speed reduction mechanism part having an internal gear, planet gear 16, cam 17 and a solenoid 21 of constituting a clutch means, capable of transmitting a rotary motion of the rewinding reel 7 to the fixed load spring 20, are provided in a base 1. In this constitution, at the time of mounting a seat belt inserted, rewinding force of the rewinding spring 9 is canceled by spring tension of the fixed load spring 20, so that webbing rewinding force can be reduced. |
