PURPOSE:To impede a cylinder injecting fuel injection valve from opening by a combustion pressure in a combustion chamber when stopping fuel injection from the cylinder injecting fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION:Each cylinder 1a is provided with a cylinder injecting fuel injection valve 11 for injecting fuel into the cylinder and an intake port injecting fuel injection valve 12 for injecting fuel into an intake port. The cylinder injecting fuel injection valve 11 is constituted of a fuel injection valve required for larger valve opening force in accordance with increasing a fuel pressure supplied to the cylinder injecting fuel injection valve 11. At the time of engine high load operation, fuel injection from the intake port injecting fuel injection valve 12 is performed, and also fuel injection from the cylinder injecting fuel injection valve 11 is stopped. Here, a fuel pressure supplied to the cylinder injecting fuel injection valve 11 is increased to the fuel pressure higher than a predetermined set value. |
