PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device facilitating also adjusting an opening load of a lid and improving also workability for building a free end stopping means of the lid. CONSTITUTION:A single opening lid 22 is provided, and a lid free end stopping means B is provided. The free end stopping means B comprises a hard synthetic resin-made stop arm 40 formed by protruding from the lid 22, sheet metal-made arm holding part 44 formed of paired holding walls 44a, 44b formed through a portal bracket 42 in the external wall surface of a bag holding case 16 and a fastening member for calking between the holding walls of the arm holding part 44, to fasten a point end side of the stop arm 40 calked between the holding walls. A temporarily stopping protrusion 40a is formed in both side point end parts of a notched hole 50 in the stop arm 40. |
