<p>PURPOSE:To realize high speed transport and high speed access for a library device by improving the positioning control of a transport robot without raising the price of the library device. CONSTITUTION:A light sensor is provided at the tip of the hand of a transport robot, and the position of the frame of a housing rack is accurately detected by means of a position recognizing mechanism 9, a digital encoder 12, a position recognition controller 10 and others, and position correction is conducted in regard to a target position. Also, by housing this result (position correction information) in a housing rack position information memory device 13, a positioning action time on and after the second time is shortened.</p> |
