PURPOSE:To obtain a print image of high quality by means of a simple construction. CONSTITUTION:Built in a radiating plate 28 are a plurality of electromagnets 33 which are arranged axially of a platen 38, and a shaft 39 of the platen 38 is formed of a magnetic material. A thermal head 22 is mounted on a base plate 37 which is rotatable about a shaft 36, and is adapted to come into pressure contact with and away from the platen 38 upon conduction and cutoff of electric current to the electromagnets 33. |
