<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to hit a ball by the front end of a head as well in addition to the face, rear surface and heel of the putter. CONSTITUTION:There is not an established rule to hit the ball always with the face. Namely, hitting the ball with the rear surface or with the heel does not violate the rules. This putter is designed to make it possible to hit the ball even with the front end of the head by noticing this fact. The angle of the front end of the conventional putters is about 6 deg. and a pitch-and-run is not possible at this angle. Then, the angle is required to be set at about 45 deg. in order to raise the ball when hit. The ball is liable to move laterally if the front end of the putter is a mere plane and, therefore, the front end is formed to a plane slightly denting from the ball. A method of hitting the ball by viewing only the cup with a back swing to just 1 to 2cm is executable.</p> |
