PURPOSE:To provide a new compound having excellent antibacterial actions against gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas bacteria exhibiting resistance against conventional cephalosporin compounds, low in toxicity, and excellent in stability, etc. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R<1> is amino; A<+> is group of formula II or III (B is six-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring whose hetero atoms are one or two N atoms)], its ester or its salt, e.g. 7beta-[2-(5-amino-1,2,4- thiadiazol-3-yl)-2(Z)-(1-sodium carboxylate-1-methylethoxy) iminoacetamido]-3(imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazinium-1-yl)methyl-3-cephem-4-ca rboxylate. The compound is obtained e.g. by acylating a 7-amino compound of formula IV with a carboxylic acid of formula V in the presence of a condensing agent such as N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide in a solvent such as THF at -30 deg.C to 30 deg.C for 15min to 3hr. |
