PURPOSE:To obtain a captioned release sheet which can record an excellent ink image having excellent dot reproducibility and high recording density by using rosin composition and/or wax in addition to ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin as an image reception layer forming resin. CONSTITUTION:The release sheet for receiving a melt transfer type ink image comprises a support (e.g. a woodfree sheet), a release sheet (e.g. polyethylene laminated release sheet) adhered to a rear surface of the support through a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (e.g. polyacrylic ester), and an ink image receiving layer formed on a front surface of the support and containing resin as a main ingredient. The resin in the receiving layer contains at least one selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, rosin compound and wax. As a result, the release sheet for receiving melt transfer type ink image which can obtain excellent dot reproducibility of a thermal transfer image, high recording density and can easily be stuck to various article after melt recording can be obtained as a practical use. |
