A handling device (1, 4, 4') for side loading and unloading of containers (3) or other loads onto or from transport vehicle platforms (2) falls within standard international transport dimensions and can be in the form of an assembly kit. Jacks (9, 12) built into the structure provide straight, vertical movements which serve to keep the loads horizontal (3), without tilt, thus also enabling fast, smooth handling of fragile goods. Its weight added to that of the vehicle (2) allows for a tare weight in compliance with current regulations. |
