The tool has a fixed jaw (16) and a second jaw (19) which is angularly movable about hinge (18) to grip the mouth of a bag. The second jaw is further slidable along a guide channel (15) to effect relative displacement between the opposed sheets of the bag. In a preferred form, the tool has a pistol-grip handle (10) and the second jaw (19) is operable via a thumb plate (12) and push rod (11) against the action of a spring (21). |
