Designed especially for drying bagasse or the product resulting from the filtering of must during the manufacturing process, with an initial moisture content of 70%-80%, for animal consumption. The resulting product is obtained with a maximum moisture content of 10-15%. Initially, the product is dehydrated in order to eliminate 10 to 20% of water, by means of crushing, utilizing the waste liquids in dilute form as first waters in the process for manufacturing the beer must (wort, mash). There is a storage silo 2 for the moist product, at whose outlet opening there is a crusher 5 defined by a cylindrical/conical endless screw with perforated casing, at whose outlet there is a second, helical conveyor 8. The product is dried gradually on this conveyor by means of an internal air current and a circulation of hot water through the jacket coaxial to the helix of the conveyor 8, finally falling into a drier 12 divided vertically into a number of levels, falling from one to another by means of rotary blades, there being a circulation of hot air. <IMAGE> |
