The lock for casement windows consists of a pinion gear (9) operated by the handle (1) and engaging with a vertical rack (5) which drives the gear assembly. The pinion slides into one of two positions close to one another as required.In the first it engages with one side of the rack and in the second with the other. The pinion gear is moved to one or other position by a push button (15) projecting from the front of the handle and sliding along its body.
