Apparatus designed to warn when there is an attempt to open an exit equipped with this device; it takes two forms, suitable for occupying a fixed station (A) or for being moved (B): - (A) consists of a chassis (1), of a striker (2), of a receptacle (3) with an orifice (4) for the percussion cap and a reserved space (5) for the tension spring (6), and of a trigger (7) in the form of jaws of tongs. While one jaw retains the striker, the other is in position projecting from the chassis; the door, in opening, causes the trigger to pivot which frees the striker which will strike the percussion cap. -(B) at its rear part in the form of cake tongs. The flat branches of the chassis (1) and of the trigger (7) are wedged in a slot (between the striker plate and the body of a lock). The striker (2) is held back by a stud (9) situated in front of the trigger. When the door opens the apparatus releases the striker by falling. <IMAGE>
