The tester includes an input and output port (30) connected to the NCU (network control unit) board (50) through a control unit (40) having a signal generator (41) for generating KHz signals of the control unit (40), a signal amplifier (42) for amplifying the KHz signals, and an impedence matching circuit (43) for discriminating the fault states, and through a switching circuit (44) for switching the voltage of the NCU board (50), D/A converter (45) and a signal amplifying and rectifying circuit (46) for transmitting the testing result signal to the personal computer (10). The system tests the NCU board (50) without using the whole facsimile set.
