The invention relates to a machine tool, in particular a horizontal boring and milling machine, with a work spindle which can be set in rotary motion by a spindle drive comprising a motor and gearing and is movably supported on a machine base and to which a milling and facing plate having a tool can be secured. The object of the invention is to create a machine tool with which even tapered bores can be produced without the need for a multiple tool change.
