Touch dialogue User Interface (U.I.) for programming a reproduction machine using a touch control screen (220) with display providing a message area (232), U.I. state selections (250-0, 250-1, 250-2), and plural tabbed file folders (260), each file folder when opened, by touch selection, in turn displaying a smaller card file of tabbed cards (270) with adjacent work area (240), each card in the card file when opened providing a display of icons (302 - 320) representing first level machine programming selections for touch selection, each icon (e.g. 302) when touched displaying further icons (406 - 412, 422 - 432) representing second level programming selections in the work area for touch selection.
