In a door with a lock (5) which is accessible from one side of the door and which can be operated by a suitable key (4), it is proposed that the lock (5) be accessible only from the inside, that the key (4) be fastened rotatably in the axial direction to the shorter leg of a U-shaped guide bar (3) formed from two parallel legs of differing length, that a slot (1) be made in the door, the dimensions of the slot being such that the guide bar (3) together with the key (4) can be guided through and, after a pivoting about the axis of the leg located opposite the key (4), the key (4) can be inserted into the lock (5), and that a knob (2) be mounted rotatably on the outside of the door, the rotational movement of which knob being coupled to the key (4) inserted into the lock (5). <IMAGE>
