A range measuring device has a projection device, a light receiving device, a calculation device and a scanning device. The projection device transmits a plurality of laser beams in different directions. The light receiving device receives the light reflected from each object in the respective beam direction. The calculation device calculates the distances to the objects on the basis of the reflected light. The scanning device successively changes the projection direction of the plurality of laser beams.
