The cabinet has a locking device with two grip slides (6,8,7,9) oppositely arranged in the withdrawal direction and at least one closure slide (12,13) displaceable vertically to the grip slides with a closure bolt (14) movable in a recess. The opposing ends of the grip slides are joined to one another by a draw spring (11) and via a linked connecting bar (15,16) with the closure slide (12,13). The connecting bars (15,16) linked to the grip slides (6,8,7,9) have the same length and together with the draw spring (11) determine an equal sided triangle. The locking device has a single closure slide (12,13) and closure bolt (14). The closure slide is arranged laterally next to the grip slides and is displaceable at a right-angle relatively to them.
