The invention relates to a turnbuckle nut with two threaded nuts (1, 2) lying on a common longitudinal axis and arranged at a distance from one another. The threaded nuts (1, 2) have a right-hand and left-hand thread and are connected to one another by two longitudinal webs (3, 4) which are arranged at a distance from one another and are of symmetrical design relative to the longitudinal axis. So that such a turnbuckle nut is easier to actuate by hand with a large torque and without increasing the space requirement for the turnbuckle nut, the invention proposes that both longitudinal webs (3, 4) be arched outwards in a curve shape in their longitudinal area. <IMAGE>
