In a coupling device with coupling pins (2) and associated openings (7), the intention is to avoid a situation where the coupling pins (2) strike webs (8) between the openings (7) in order to improve engagement. For this purpose, a tilting part (9) is mounted in hinged fashion on at least one of the coupling pins (2) and, when it strikes one of the webs (8), it tips over and displaces the coupling parts (1, 5) relative to one another in a direction transverse to the direction of engagement until the coupling pins (2) engage in the openings (7). <IMAGE>
