PURPOSE:To increase the magnetic flux density of a product by subjecting a steel having a composition in which respective contents of Si, Al, N, and Fe are specified to hot finish rolling under the prescribed conditions, applying cold cross rolling to the resulting plate, and subjecting the resulting sheet to secondary recrystallization and purification by means of finish annealing. CONSTITUTION:A steel having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.8-6.7% Si, 0.008-0.048% acid soluble Al, <=0.01% N, and the balance Fe is refined. Hot finish rolling is carried out under the conditions of <=0.25 friction coefficient between a plate of this steel and a roll for finish rolling and >=20% cumulative reduction of area. Subsequently, the resulting hot rolled plate is cold-rolled at 40-60% reduction of area and further cold rolled in a direction intersecting the direction of the above cold rolling at 30-70% reduction of area. After pri mary recrystallization annealing is applied to the resulting cold rolled steel sheet, a separation agent at annealing is applied to this steel sheet, and then, finish annealing for the purpose of secondary recrystallization and purification is carried out. |
