PURPOSE:To execute balanced dot printing by securing almost the same surface temperature on each thermal resistor, by a method wherein the title thermal head is so formed that its resistance value becomes less as the thermal resistors are positioned nearer to both ends than in its central part. CONSTITUTION:In the thermal head in which a plurality of thermal resistors are arranged in a line, the resistance values of thermal resistors are made successively larger from both ends 2-1, 2-8 to centers 2-4, 2-5. Therefore, the power consumed in the thermal resistors becomes larger toward the both ends. Accordingly, the surface temperature of each thermal resistor can be made almost uniform, and almost the same printing density can be obtained in each dot printed by the thermal resistor line. |
