PURPOSE:To fuse toner thermally with efficiency in safety and shorten a warm-up time and to make a quick start by using a flash heater and an electrostatic induction heater together. CONSTITUTION:A flash lamp 1 and a reflecting mirror 2 are incorporated above a form 6 and a lamp house 4 where a glass plate 3 and an air circulating and blowing device 5 for cooling the lamp 1 is arrange to form a flash heating part. A coil 9 for magnetic field establishment and its power source, on the other hand, are incorporated below the form 6 and the electromagnetic induction heater 8 euqipped with a heat-resisting lass plate 10 is arranged. A high frequency current is supplied to the coil 9 and a high frequency magnetic field is applied to conductive materials (carbon, magnetic power, etc.) in toner, whose temperature is raised. At the same time, the toner is fused with flash light from the flash lamp 1 to fix a toner image on the form 6. |
