摘要 PURPOSE:To execute roughness control efficiently while keeping all of a plurality of cylinders in good conditions of combustion, by detecting the condition of combustion of each cylinder, and controlling various factors dominating the condition of combustion. CONSTITUTION:A control apparatus of this invention comprises a means for detecting the condition of combustion which detects the condition of combustion of each cylinder from the angular velocity of engine rotation, combustion pressure, etc., various control means for controlling the air-fuel ratio, the ignition timing, etc. dominating the condition of combustion, and a combustion control means which controls the aforesaid various control means to keep the condition of combustion of each cylinder uniformly at a prescribed value on the basis of the output of said means for detecting the condition of combustion. With such an arrangement, the condition of combustion of each cylinder such as the angular velocity of engine rotation, combustion pressure, etc. is compard with a reference value representing the optimum condition of combustion of each cylinder. Thus, since various factors such as the ignition timing, the injection quantity of fuel of a fuel injection valve, etc. dominating the condition of combustion are controlled to keep the condition of combustion of each cylinder uniformly at a prescribed value, it is enabled to execute efficient roughness control.
