PURPOSE:To obtain a toner stable in triboelectrification amt., sharp in its distribution, controllable to a triboelectrification amt. suitable for a development system, and capable of reproducing a stable image and forming a sharp chromatic color image by incorporating a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:The compd. to be used is a quinolium salt contg. a BF4<-> or PF6<-> as a counter ion. It is stable thermally and against the lapse of time, and low in hygroscopicity, and the addition thereof to a developer permits triboelectrification amts. among toner particles, between toner particles and carrier particles, and in the case of using a one-component type developer, between the toner particles and a toner holder, such as a sleeve, to be stabilized as an excellent charge control agent, sharp and uniform in its distribution, and controllable to an amt. suitable to the development system, accordingly, development and transferring in high fidelity to a latent image to be executed, the toner to be prevented from flocculation, and the change of triboelectrifiability during long and successive uses, to be unaffected by the change of temp. and humidity, and a stable image to be reproduced and further, a sharp chromatic color image to be obtained. |
