PURPOSE:To obtain tracks of a rewritable optical disk suitable to a memory for a personal computer by providing tracks which are recorded as uneven pits and dedicated to reproduction in addition to recording tracks. CONSTITUTION:There are sector headers 2 and a track area dedicated to reproduction on the information recording surface of the optical disk in addition to track areas 1 where a user records data, and the both are given information in the form of uneven pits which are recorded optically and previously. Therefore, disks are reproduced in quantity by replication. A program such as an operating system can be stored previously in the track area 3 dedicated to reproduction and one disk and one driving device replace two magnetic floppy disks for a personal computer and two driving devices and the recording capacity increases by 100-1,000 times. |
