PURPOSE:To obtain the reliable and practical result of a traffic flow by excluding abnormal data with the operation of a majority decision method. CONSTITUTION:ITV image processing means 2 and 3 are provided at an upper flow point A and a low flow point A and the number (four-digit) of the number plate of a vehicle to pass is recognized. The range of a first group is set with a maximum value and a minimum value with the numeric value of time difference data as a center. Then, when the numeric value of second time difference data belongs to the range of the first group, a data number is increased by one as the constituting data of the group and when it does not belong to the range, the other group is set in the same way. Further, a sectioning is successively executed with the time difference data group and the arithmetic mean value of the group, whose number of constituting data is the largest, is obtained as a travel time. In order to correspond to the change of the travel time in a unit time, the range of the group is not fixed and the reset of the maximum value and the minimum value is executed from the arithmetic means value of the time difference data in the group. Thus, the reliable and practical analysis of the traffic flow can be executed. |
