PURPOSE:To stably form clear pictures without omission by eliminating a halation picture part from plural pictures obtained under different lighting geometry conditions and obtaining the pictures from the other picture parts. CONSTITUTION:A command is sent through a general purpose signal interface 18 to a lighting source switching device 20, lighting sources L1, L2 and L3 are independently lighted from different directions respectively, a work is image picked up through a camera interface 12 and the pictures are successively fetched in a frame memory 13 (#14 2 and 3). When three pictures are obtained, the intensity and size of the signals of respective picture elements constituting the respective pictures are graded into a lot of sections appropriately set beforehand and a histogram for the respective pictures is prepared. Then, a normalization processing for arranging the brightness of the respective pictures is executed by utilizing the prepared histogram. Then, when the one whose photodetection output value is maximum is eliminated for the respective corresponding picture elements in the three pictures, the halation picture part can be almost surely eliminated. |
