HIGH REFRACTIVE INDEX FILM HAVING HARDNESS, ANTIREFLECTION FILM AND THEIR PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To form a layer having an arbitrary high refractive index and to produce a high refractive index film provided with hardness and an antireflection film with the high refractive index film. CONSTITUTION:The high refractive index film 2 is formed on a transparent substrate film 1 by coating with org. superfine particles having a refractive index of >=1.5 and a multilayered structure consisting of the outermost layer having reactive crosslinkable functional groups or made of a thermoplastic resin and the central part made of a highly crosslinked body. Since the outermost layers of the org. superfine particles are crosslinked or melt-stuck, the high refractive index film 2 has hardness. A low refractive index film 3 is then formed on the high refractive index film 2 to produce the objective antireflection film.
