PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device which can prevent the density of copy images from being decreased and copying action from being interrupted and so can efficiently form high-grade images even if document images of high density are copied continuously in large quantities. CONSTITUTION:If output signal of a toner density sensor 37 shows the need for replenishing a developing machine with a toner, a control portion 31 drives a toner replenishing motor 39 via a motor drive portion 38 to start replenishing the developing machine with the toner, and the replenishing of the developing machine with the toner is stopped according to the density of a document image which is obtained from an output signal of a document density sensor 30. Therefore, the developing machine can be replenished with the developer according to the density of the document image and the density of the copy image can be prevented from decreasing and copying action can be prevented from being interrupted. |
