<p>PURPOSE: To easily guide an electrode for following in a metallurgical furnace by canceling the self lock of a traction member, and centering a device in the horizontal direction from the outside. CONSTITUTION: A left side-forming device 20 is formed of a thin tube 24, and the thin tube 24 surrounds an electrode 10 coaxial with respect to a center axis I, and a feeder element 41 clamps the electrode 10 freely slidable from the outside. A right side-forming device 20 is formed of an outer case 22 having a hollow chamber, and a terminal 23 is led to the hollow chamber. The electrode 10 is slid on the inner wall of the outer case 22 by centering performed by a centering metallic plate 13. A traction member 11 is held for self-lock at an end projected from the electrode 10. When the self-lock is canceled so as to vertically move the electrode 10, centering of the electrode 10 is performed in the horizontal direction from the outside within a burned range 17. Furthermore, a spring assembly 32 and a hydraulic die 33 are arranged on the side of the member 11 positioned opposite to a fixed clamp member 35, and works vertically with respect to the center axis I.</p> |
