PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device which prevents falling of toner from an entrance seal, etc., and scattering of toner, etc., and performs the formation of a high quality image. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device carries out image formation by bringing a transfer material into contact with an image carrier with a toner image, obtained by developing an electrostatic latent image, on it, thereby transferring the image, separates and carries the material, and then recovers residual toner on the image carrier. The image forming device is equipped with: a cleaning member 3 for removing the residual toner 2 on the image carrier 1; an entrance seal 4 which abuts on the image carrier 1, upstream from the cleaning member 3 in the direction of the movement of the image carrier 1; a support member for supporting the entrance seal 4 by the application of longitudinal tension; and an adjusting means 6 for adjusting the longitudinal tension of the entrance seal 4 by deforming the support member. |
