PURPOSE:To selectively implement copying of an original and facsimile transmission of the original simply without malfunction by detecting a copy original/ facsimile original automatically and setting automatically the copy mode/ facsimile mode. CONSTITUTION:An original on an original platen 2 is carried to a picture read position by a carrier belt 37, a photoelectric conversion section reads and discriminates a read image forming face of the original carried to the picture read position, and when the photoelectric conversion section discriminates it that the front side of the read image forming face of the original is opposite to the picture read position, the original is copied, and when the photoelectric conversion section discriminates it that the rear side of the read image forming face of the original is opposite to the picture read position, the original is turned over to make the read image forming face of the original opposite to the picture read position and the original is sent by a facsimile equipment. |
