PURPOSE:To provide a light deflector capable of always/correctly deflecting light beams by preventing the deflection of a mirror surface reflecting the light beams caused by the generation of a local stress on a polygon mirror, at the time of pressing/fixing on the polygon mirror on a mirror flange. CONSTITUTION:In the light deflector composed of the polygon mirror 1 whose outer periphery is formed of plural reflection mirror surfaces 1a, a rotary member 2 provided with the annular mirror flange 3 on which the polygon mirror 1 is fixed and rotated at a fixed speed and a mirror cap 5 pressing the polygon mirror 1 on the mirror flange 3, the pressing force adjusting member 20 of an elastic modulus almost equal to or smaller than that of the polygon mirror 1 is held between the polygon mirror 1 and the mirror cap 5. |
