PURPOSE:To accurately indicate a center and to prevent the generation of erroneous work by reading a mark for indicating a center position included in image data and automatically detecting the center of an image based on the mark center. CONSTITUTION:An original image is read by a scanner 7 first, is stored in an image data storage part 30 and is displayed at a display part 9. Then, the position and size of an area to be scanned so as to detect a center mark are specified on a display screen and the range of the line width of the center mark is set and is stored in a set value storage area 3-1. Then, the detection area of the mark is detected by respective lines, consecutive image data areas are retrieved and binary data corresponding to the set line width of the mark are extracted. Accumulated values for the respective lines of the binary data are calculated a numerical value existing within a prescribed range among them is extracted, the center of the area where the numerical value is positioned is obtained and the center position of the mark is calculated. Such processings are executed to the plural marks and the center of the image data is obtained. |
