PURPOSE:To accurately and stably give appropriate copying conditions considering the visual characteristic of a human being for an individual original picture by combining plural film characteristic value vectors and obtaining exposure vetcor for forming the copied image of the original picture. CONSTITUTION:The original picture formed on color photographic film is scanned color-separating to obtain image information classified by colors (S3), and an image characteristic value such as a mean value is obtained from the image information (S4). Furthermore, plural reference values for referring to a film characteristic function are obtained from the image characteristic value (S5). Then, the film characteristic value is obtained based on the reference values by referring to the film characteristic function (S7) so as to constitute plural film characteristic value vectors (S8). Next, the exposure vector is obtained from the characteristic vectors (S9). When the copied image of the color original picture is formed based on the obtained exposure vector, the color tone of the obtained copied image is observed as a fixed color tone regardless of the characteristic of the photographic film. |
