PURPOSE:To enable single or plural observers to recognize natural stereoscopic videos without wearing special spectacles. CONSTITUTION:A screen shutter means 1 has a shutter group arranged with plural vertically long shutters 1a. A shutter control means 2 is formed with vertically long slits 1b to permit the transmission of light only for the plural shutters selected at prescribed intervals from the shutter group and executes the control to move the entire part position of the slit group in a transverse direction at specified time intervals. A display control means 4 displays the images obtd. by projecting stereoscopic images M onto an image display surface 3a in synchronization with the timing for movement of the slit group by the shutter control means 2 as images made correspondent to the respective slits. Only a part of the images displayed on the image display surface 3a by the slits 1b are selected by the slits 1a and are made to arrive at the observer's eyes S, by which the observer is enabled to recognize the stereoscopic videos. |
